This swishy little cropped jacket, easy and versatile, is great fun to make from the top down, with raglan sleeves and an A-line flare to the body. Its shaping is extremely easy, with the traditional markers delineating the raglan seams, and garter stitch borders at the sleeve ends, hem, and front opening (built-in: no button borders on finishing!). The body of the garment is worked in one piece to the hem, then sleeves are rejoined and worked flat to their completion. Sewing those seams and adding two optional buttons (on snaps, suggests Turcotte) is all that’s left to do when the knitting is done.
