Who doesn’t love Dean and Sam Winchester from Supernatural

The Chevy’s kettle dyed and then hand painted. Worked up on my silver shot sock (super soft merino superwash with nylon) for her chrome and solid dark black for her paint job which results in a self striping yarn of: red (tail lights), yellow (parking lights), tan (interior). Perfect man or a woman!

Rachel of the Knit Me Happy video cast made the sock sample and the sock photo credit goes to her. I love this yarn, reminds me of a fire on the beach late at night and of course the Dean’s baby. The pattern had to be the interior of the car of course! Shown here in black and white to give you an idea of the lovely texture. I took the idea of the pattern from of a shot of the interior of the car.

Worked over 66 sts on size 0 or larger needles with fewer sts you can change your size depending on your needs. I love how the purls rows are accented with the blips of colors and how they stripped! For a heel you will make your choice Sherman, short row or Sweet Tomato by Cat Bordhi shown here.

I give you written instructions on how to make a short row with additional for the Sherman and URL’s for Cat Bordhi’s as well as another URL to a video which shows another way of doing a toe up heel you might want to try. The pattern is toe up two at a time but you can easily convert it to top down if that’s your pleasure.
