This pattern is essentially a mosaic style of crocheting (except normally with mosaic you don’t use back post doubles). It was designed to be a blanket, but by changing the number of repeats you could also make a table runner, place mats, cushion covers etc. This pattern is written using American terminology

Please do not redistribute this pattern. I’d really appreciate it if you would share a link to the ravelry pattern on any photos you share.

Materials
* 4 colours of DK yarn. I used
stylecraft special DK 100g
* 4 mm crochet hook

My blanket is 8 repeats across and two up, this is how much yarn I used, bearing in mind that I left very long ends for my fringe. The amount you need will depend on your gauge, and how long you want your fringe to be (or if you want to use a different border style). So you might need less than I’ve estimated below.

  • White: 3/8 ball per repeat
  • Green: 1/8 ball per repeat
  • Red: 3/16 ball per repeat
  • Blue: 1/10 ball per repeat.

To work out how much yarn you will need, multiply the above quantities by how many repeats across and length ways you want. E.g. if you want to do 8 repeats across, and 2 repeats up, then you would need approximately 6 white, 2 green, 3 red, 1.5 blue.
Each repeat is around 21cm across and 46 cm high.

UPDATE: To anyone who already downloaded the pattern, my apologies but there was a missing graph. The updated pdf now includes all the rows. Thanks!
