About the Pattern
A festive children’s jumper featuring a Christmas tree motif on the front, decorated with colourful baubles and topped with a pompom tree topper. Knitted in double knitting (DK) wool, the jumper is designed to fit children from 2 to 13 years old and has a classic, easy to wear shape that suits all ages. The neckline, cuffs, and hem are finished with ribbed edgings, giving a stretchy fit that keeps its shape beautifully through wear and washing. The pattern is written in English and supplied as a digital download PDF.

Design Details
• Intarsia Christmas tree motif
• Chart provided for the tree
• Worked bottom up in separate pieces (front, back, sleeves)
• Stitches picked up to complete the neckline
• Baubles are knitted separately and sewn to the edges of each branch
• Small pompom completes the top of the tree

Sizes
The pattern includes six sizes:
• 2-3 years
• 4-5 years
• 6-7 years
• 8-9 years
• 10-11 years
• 12-13 years

Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the jumper knitted using Stylecraft Special DK shades: Green (1116), White (1001), Red (Lipstick 1246), Brown (1004) and Mustard (1823).

Skill
Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but experience needed to work from a chart for the motif.

Needles
• Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.

Other requirements
• Stitch holder
• Small crochet hook (optional) to help pull yarn through when making pompom
