This cable pattern has been rolling around in my head for quite awhile. I thought it would be perfect as a mirrored pair so socks were the obvious choice. The cable panel made me think of smoke spiraling away from a fire and the small flecks of gray in the yarn made me think of ashes hence the name: Cinder Twist.

Details: These socks are knit from the toe up and use an afterthought heel. To keep them comfy and easy to wear the foot has a ‘princess sole’ and the back of the leg is simple, squishy ribbing. The cable panel snakes it’s way from the toe to the cuff.

Sizes: Womens, (Mens/Womens Wide, Mens Wide)
As these socks are knit from the toe up it is very easy to adjust width and length.

Yarn: 1 skein Neighborhood Fiber Co Studio Sock in Mt Vernon colorway.

Needle: size 5/3.75mm DPNs or 1 long circular in each size. The gauge looks a little weird because it is measured with a non-standard gauge pattern. I knit 11 sts of 1x1 ribbing and 14 sts of the cable pattern for 25 sts total. This gave me 3 inches unstretched. If you have any problems with it please let me know.
