A rectangular scarf with a simple design using knit and purl stitches in a cobblestone pattern. This scarf is knit from the bottom up with alternating stripes of color.

Nature provides inspiration everywhere from the shades of blue in the sky to the different textures of rocks and pebbles along trails, sidewalks, and even in your own driveway. My inspiration for this scarf is the stepping stones that you walk on in the gardens of one of our local museums. These stones resemble cobblestones used in earlier roads and paths.

The colors chosen can also be found in nature. The tweed look of the wool mimics the various shades of stone you will find on any cobblestone path.

I hope you find your own inspiration when you choose the colors for your own knit Cobblestone Scarf.
