Colin's Twisted Cable Hat
My friend Bev was bemoaning not having a clue as to what to get her husband Colin for his birthday in September. She refuses to buy him more t-shirts and they are not extravagant gift spenders in the best of economic times. So, I valiantly offered to knit Colin a hat for her to gift him with.
I ended up designing this hat and was so happy with it, I took the time to write up the pattern which is something I seldom do!
It fits the average adult head because the cables, twisted stitches and ribbing involved give it a lot of stretch. It fits my smaller head and my husband’s ginormous cranium both just fine.
The stitch pattern instructions are both written out and charted. I have used some color in the pattern, but it prints fine as black and white also.
Enjoy!
