If ever you have felt like knitting a comfort blanket and hiding under it this is the KAL for you - it’s a KAL with a bit of a difference.

It’s a KAL based on community, self care and and a little bit of TLC

Based on a series of recipes for different sized Mitered Squares, this 8 week KAL alternates 4 different ideas for Mitered Squares with 4 weekly emails for self care and mindfulness

In addition by signing up to the KAL you will be invited to join a closed Facebook group - this is purely optional though and is not essential.

The group will be used for chat, to support each other as you progress through the KAL and also to run a yarn swap for interested participants.

The project you end up with at the end of this is entirely up to you. You might opt to combine the ideas for a huge - bed sized throw, a cushion cover or something in-between.

The aim is to come together as a community, to support each other and generate a bit of comfort for yourself and others.

Although the recipes are for basic mitered squares, the KAL price reflects the additional value that you will gain from taking part:

  • Tips and Tricks on achieving a neat finish
  • Options for borders and joining your squares
  • Facebook group membership - for the KAL duration
  • Self care tips and suggestions
  • Yarn swap available

In addition, £1 from each purchase will be donated to MIND - the UK based mental health charity.

The KAL starts on 8th April 2019 but in the meantime you can download the Pre KAL Information sheet. Thanks to the wonders of Ravelry, once you have purchased the pattern the weekly installments will automatically appear in your Ravelry library.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me at the address in my bio

After the KAL has ended, this pattern will remain available on Ravelry at a reduced rate to reflect the fact that the community aspect will no longer be running.
