This simple cowl is knitted in the round using only knit and purl stitches. The textured, repeating diamond pattern is reversible with the front side of the cowl looking nearly identical to the back. This cowl is designed to be looped around the neck twice, for a warm cozy fit. It is simple enough for a beginner, but the pattern keeps things interesting for more experienced knitters.

Instructions for the repeating pattern are provided in both a chart and written instructions.

The yarn used for this cowl was Sugar Bush Bliss, and although it is oh so soft and squishy, some knitters found that the pattern didn’t stand out very well with this yarn. I might suggest using a 100% wool sport weight yarn that has better stitch definition, like Quince and Co Chickadee. Also, you will use almost every bit of the 420 yds so make sure you have enough!
