This headband pattern is an introduction to colorwork knitting. If you are looking to practice this technique, the super bulky yarn and the repetitive heart pattern with shorter floats will provide the perfect occasion to do so.

The pattern is written in US standard terms and includes child and adult sizes. It is recommended for intermediate knitters.

YARDAGE:
Child size: Main color (MC) 23 yards, contrast color (CC) 10 yards
Adult size: Main color (MC) 30-35 yards, contrast color (CC) 10 yards

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES:
8mm / US11 16” circular needles
10mm / US15 16” circular needles

GAUGE:
5 stitches x 6 rows in 2” in colorwork pattern

Child: 8.5” wide x 4.25” tall - Fit average child head circumference of 18-20 in
Adult: 9” wide x 4.5” tall - Fit average adult head circumference of 21-23 in
