Knit from the top down and partially on the bias, Corbis is all about framing the face and neck in the most elegant way. The rhythmic basketweave yoke changes organically into tactile diamond shapes resulting in a powerful and dynamic interplay of lines and shapes for a stunning visual effect. The unfussy, effortless shape of the sweater will complement most body types, and take you from day to night feeling cool, collected and very well dressed!

CONSTRUCTION
You will start the sweater with a top-down triangle that will form the center of the upper back. Once the triangle is worked, stitches are cast on for the front neck, after which the yoke is worked in the round until the under-arm.
After finishing the yoke, the ‘gaps’ at the side of the body are closed working short rows, after which the lower body will be worked in the round down to the lower edge.
The underside of the sleeves are filled similar to the sides of the body, using short rows. Stitches for the neckline ribbing are picked up and worked in the round while using decreases to shape the ribbing.

SIZES
Sizes XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)
Finished upper hip measurement: 74.5 (82.5, 93.5, 108, 117,5, 127, 137) cm / 29.25 (32.5, 36.75, 42.5, 46.25, 50, 54)”

The sweater is designed to fall at the upper hip with no ease. If you want to lengthen your sweater, choose a size with an upper hip measurement that is closer to your full hip circumference.
Sample is shown in size S with no ease at the upper hip.

YARN
Fingering weight yarn.
The design is suitable for a large range of yarns. For a more summery version choose a silk (blend) or cotton (blend), for a warmer version wool would be suitable.

Approx 950 (1050, 1150, 1300, 1400, 1550, 1650) m / 1040 (1150, 1260, 1420, 1530, 1700, 1800) yards.
Sample is shown in Knitting for Olive Pure Silk; 100% silk, 250 m / 273 yards per 50 gr, colorway Olive.
