Corrasion is the process in which small particles erode the rocks in a river or ocean. This hat balances the strong diagonal lines that cut across the hat with pauses of smooth stockinette, just as the particles smooth the surface of the river rocks. The crown decreases continue the eroding process of the hat, until you are left with just a finished and polished hat. Simple textures and plenty of stockinette pauses make this hat a quick knit with immediate gratification. Knit this hat in a couple of days and feel your stresses wash away.

Yarn: 154 yards = 35 grams fingering weight yarn, recommended yarn Voolenvine Yarns Footsie or Blitzed base. A semi-solid will show the texture best, but variegated results in a great effect between the textured and plain sections.

Needles: US size 4 (3.5mm) - 16” circulars and double points for crown decreases.

Gauge:
12 stitches and 18 rows over 2 inches
