A lacy little rib runs around the leg of this sock, forming a comfy honeycomb fabric. After cascading down the instep, it ends in a delicate point near the toe.

The pattern includes a choice of a ruffled or knotted cuff, each with its own appearance. Both options stretch so the sock top fits comfortably.

The knotted cuff relies on the Channel Islands cast-on. Complete directions are given within the pattern.

As shown, the sock features a short, anklet-length leg. Naturally, you can work the leg longer if you wish, but of course you will need more yarn.

This sock pattern presents its Clematis stitch pattern in written form, in the form of a traditional grid-based chart, and as a grid-free “stitch map.” A simple stitch pattern, it’s an easy introduction to stitch maps. Visit Stitch-Maps.com for more information on stitch maps.
