A meditative knit that brings harmony to discordant yarns.

This pattern will work for any gauge yarn as long as you use two yarns that are of equal weight.

This cowl is ideal for handspun, hand-dyes, funky variegation & “problem” stash because:
1 - the “knit one below” stitch diffuses too-intense colors & stops pooling/splotching;

2 - you can team up yarns to complement each other and overcome any individual flaws in strength, body, color, drape, etc

If this is your first Cowl One Below:
Please choose yarns that are worsted weight and very easy to tell apart. Later on, you can go for matchy-matchy laceweights…but not yet…trust me on this!

The stitch itself is easy but fixing errors (instructions included!) is a little different than in plain knitting, so start off simple.
