Create your own Dreidel, Wire Tutorial
Discover a new wire crochet technique I have developed, the ISK (Invisible Spool Knitting)!
This is not the standard crochet you have been used to; trying to find the right wording for it, the most accurate appears to be the ISK, a technique with which you will create designs that look like knitting, while using a crochet hook.
Here is a detailed PDF tutorial with many close-ups and explanations that will enable anyone to DIY my fun dreidel, no special knowledge is required, only two hands and good eyesight.
The PDF includes 27 pages with detailed info, it explains how to make the dreidel both with the ISK starter and without it !
The materials required are:
- 2-3 gr dead soft 28 gauge wire
- color copper wire in a contrast color also dead soft 28 gauge wire
The tools required are :
- a crochet hook size 0.6mm
- a wire cutter
- a Medium ISK starter - optional , the instructions include explanations how to create Yoola’s dreidel with and without the ISK starter. It is very recommended though.
It makes a wonderful gift .
