Crochet Memories Blanket (Join As You Go Corner to Corner Squares!)

There is a very popular knitting pattern called the Cozy Memories Blanket that uses fingering weight yarn scraps to create lovely little squares that can be joined to create any size of blanket. I love knitting, but my first true love has always been crochet. There is nothing like a crochet hook in my hand to calm my nervous system, spark my creativity, and fill me with positive feelings. I had many small balls and scraps of fingering weight yarn that would make a fabulous memory blanket, but I wanted to crochet, not knit!

Out of this, the Crochet Memories Blanket was born. Using fingering weight yarn, Crochet Memories is made up of corner to corner (c2c) join-as-you-go squares. The squares can be joined in ANY direction, to any corner of a preexisting square. Thus, the blanket can be made in an endless variety of sizes from baby and throw, all the way to king size. Did you make a smaller blanket and now want it to be larger? No problem! Just join another square to the edge and you’re off.

This pattern includes: written instructions graded from a preemie-sized blanket through a king-sized blanket, a photo tutorial, and a link to a detailed video tutorial showing the join-as-you-go technique are provided for this pattern.

The Crochet Memories pattern has all the details you need to make a fabulous blanket that will be treasured for years to come! If you would like to learn the join-as-you-go technique only, without access to the actual pattern, click HERE for a free video tutorial on Youtube.
