SKEINO’s CUDDLE PONCHO is knitted with our FLAME yarn. This thick & thin spun yarn is super bulky weight and varies between thick flame-like and thin sections. The Garter Stitch pattern supports this unevenness and gives the poncho a characteristic textured surface. The extra fine merino fibers are so very soft and together with the special texture of the yarn you cannot help from wanting to snuggle up with the piece.

The poncho is knitted in one piece without any seams. The first skein will be knitted up in a diamond shaped square with an increase line in the middle. After finishing this you use half of the stitches for a right and a left second and third square of the same size. Both squares have a decrease line in the center. For the last rows these two parts are being joined together to create the closure in the front. This kit provides a total of 600 yards (656 meters) giving you the right amount of yarn for a good size. If you want the poncho larger without having more yarn available, you can knit the same shape in SEED STITCH.

The poncho will be slightly thinner to the touch. Don’t pass up this opportunity to knit this cuddling piece for yourself or someone else. This interesting shape is very easy to knit. SKEINO offers 16 colors to choose from. The handpainted yarn will not pool or zigzag because of the constant increases or decreases.

This is a great beginners piece and you will have fun with it when you see the construction growing.
