My dear friend moved recently after working side by side together for almost 5 years. Jessica is truly an incredible person. I can’t tell you how amazing it has been to see her blossom from a somewhat shy, late teenager to a confident, married woman. An incredibly hard worker, dedicated, determined, and filled with so much strength with every bit of adversity thrown at her.

I set out to make her a special gift as a thank you for all the love and support she gave me. I wanted to make something that incorporated a few of her favorite things: her favorite flowers are daisies, and she loves lavender in all its forms (this girl makes a lavender lemonade that is to die for, and the recipe is included!). This skein of lavender colored A Verb for Keeping Warm had been sitting in my stash for far too long (or, perhaps just the right amount of time) and was the perfect color. With her moving date impending, I searched for a cowl pattern that incorporated the daisy stitch, but didn’t quite see what I wanted. So, here we are: a belated knitted gift and a pattern to go with it.

This pattern is written with the intent to be flexible with several different yarn weights and gauges making it very versatile.
