This hat utilizes fair isle colorwork and combines it with well placed increases and decreases to generate its unique pattern. There are two patterns included in the pattern, one for looser knitters and one for tighter knitters, use the pattern that matches your gauge.

To complete the hat you’ll want to be comfortable with knitting in the round, stranded knitting, increases (M1b) and decreases (SSK & K2tog).

Be sure to check your gauge before starting! Some test knitters have used a US5 and others have used a US9 in order to match gauge. As written, the hat will fit my head - an average adult male (23 1/8”//58.7cm).

To make this hat you’ll need five or six stitch markers and around 100y of two different heavy worsted/aran/bulky yarn (again, use the weight that helps you match gauge).
