I love this cowl--the drape, the weight, the feel! It is perfect for summer!

The two row pattern is easy to remember and is repeated for the whole cowl or scarf. You can vary the width (in multiples of 4 plus your edge stitches) and the length to whatever you want or however much yarn you have.

It will work in different weight yarns by changing the needle size.

Of course, if you plan from the start to make a cowl rather than a scarf, (and you prefer) you could cast on using a provisional cast on to avoid sewing the ends together.
