Temperatures in Belgium during the Spring and Summer can vary drastically from day to day, so I wanted to knit a lovely, bright Summer scarf, that won’t necessarily warm me, but just protect me from a slight chill in the air when I go out in a Summer dress.
Using cotton yarn helps keep you cool enough, but gives you a nice feeling of protection against that breeze.

When I was designing this shawl, the dandelions were all in bloom around me, in the same colour as this warm yellow.

The pattern is written in English, with some written instructions, most most of cable and lace instructions are shown in charts.
The shawl begins at the center of the back neck, or the center of the longest side, and is shaped by increasing 4 stitches every other row.

Size
The size of the scarf is about 170 cm by 65 cm (see photo) and triangular.

Yarn
I used 3 skeins of Amore Cotton 300 from Borgo de’Pazzi, but full disclosure:t I was really playing yarn chicken at the end, and was left with about 2 metres of yarn. Don’t give yourself this kind of stress, and get yourself an extra skein!

them, knitting back and forth, like with regular needles.
