Dasher, the dragonfly.
This toy was inspired by Blue Dasher, the dragonfly species that can be found in North America.
There are so many varieties of dragonflies that you can knit them in every color and there is a species that will look similar.

Depending on the yarn you pick, the finished toy can measure anywhere between 5” / 13 cm in length and 6”/ 15.5 cm in wing span to 8” / 20.5 cm length and 9” / 23 cm wing span, or even more if yarn held double for marling effect.

Yarn:
Fingering Weight or worsted weight yarn in three colors. MC, C1, C2.
About 50 yards /45.5 meters total of MC.
About 50 yards / 45.5 meters total of C1.
About 30 yards / 27.5 meters total of C2.
About 20 yards / 18 meters total of black yarn.

Recommended Needle Size: DPN US # 5/3.75mm (set of 5) for worsted weight; DPN US # 2/2.75 mm (set of 5) for fingering weight. Or use your preferred needles for knitting in the round.
