Deepening Twilight was inspired by the moment of dusk just before the complete loss of light, when tree branches meld into the sky and become an intricate and barely distinguishable lacework.

SIZE
28” wide and 66” long after blocking

MATERIALS
Queensland Collection, Llama Lace 100% llama; 3.25oz/100g; 420yd/383m balls; color: 02, 2 skeins

2 sets US #5/3.75mm 24-inch circular needles

1 set US #5/3.75mm 32-inch circular needle
1 US #5/3.75mm DPN for border- optional

Tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers; one different color for beg of rnd.

GAUGE
17sts/27 rows = 4” in Lattice Lace pattern after blocking, gauge is not critical for this project but may affect yardage requirements.

This shawl begun with two groups of 156 stitches cast on to 2 circular needles using a provisional method. Use a cast on method that does not rely on waste yarn, much like you would for a toe-up sock. I recommend Judy’s Magic Cast on. These stitches are worked in the round with increases every round on the edge charts. The stitch counts on the center charts do not change throughout the shawl. When all increases are complete, a knitted-on border is worked, eliminating the need to bind off a large number of stitches.
