Gauge
20 stitches and 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in Reverse Stockinette stitch, after blocking.
22 stitches and 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in charted pattern, after blocking.
Since the cardigan is worked sideways, the row gauge is very important.

Notes
• The cardigan is worked flat sideways from the center out towards the sides (please see the diagram on page 8). The side seams are worked with 3-needle bind off. Sleeves are worked in the round from the top down. The hem is picked up and knit from the top down.
• A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.

Difficulty: Intermediate. The stitch pattern is charted and written.
