This project features the vine lace eyelet stitch pattern. A slight variation in the stitch sequence results in a diagonal effect. Knit in the round, the increases and decreases form a subtle leaf motif and create dainty scalloped edges. The pattern includes instructions to create three sizes by choosing different yarn weights and needles. Large requires 150 yards of chunky weight yarn with US 11 and measures 31” circumference (gauge 3 st/in). Medium requires 140 yards of worsted weight with US 9 and measures 20” circumference (gauge 5 st/in). Small requires 135 yards of DK weight with US 7 and measures19” circumference (gauge 5 st/in). All widths approximately 8 inches. Gauge not critical unless different yarn weight or needle is chosen. Colors in solid, tonal, or tweed highlight this stitch design.
