A spectacular piece, one that appears quite decipherable, and yet there’s a lot of thought and planning in it. Looking almost like a modern modular tartan, it flatters simply by virtue of its construction (all those bias diamonds add up to a clingy fabric, and check out the ‘V’s on the back!). Dewey has included large diagrams to fill in with your appropriate stitch counts, depending on whether you’re making an adult small to extra-large; the sizing is predicated on the stitch count of the individual diamonds you make. Gauge is based on making a 29-stitch diamond module in pattern, which (unblocked) should measure 3.5” from point to point on 3.75mm (US5) needles. 10 pages of solid, intriguing investment.
