A simple, beautiful crochet blanket that looks much more complicated than it actually is, and works up quickly. Chain and double crochet stitches are used in the round to create a diamond lace.

Blanket can be made to any size desired, from a 12” by 12” lovey to a large square blanket.

Gauge not important to finished result.

Any yarn and hook size can be used to get the desired look. A smooth yarn will show off the pattern best. Be sure to get enough yarn in the same dye lot to finish the pattern to desired size.

Any desired border can be added for a more traditional look, or it can be left straight edged for a more modern look.

PICTURED: 30” by 30” baby blanket using approx. 1.5 skeins of Caron Simply Soft Solids in light purple and .5 skein of dark purple, made with an “H” hook. Border was made by switching to dark purple on the last full set of diamonds. Yarn type, yardage, and hook size are based off of the baby blanket pictured.

Pattern is written in English, using standard US terms.
