The instructions provided in this pattern will enable you to make this beautiful light, lacey, and delicate wrap that features a combination of shells and diamonds in the Shetland Lace tradition. It can be knitted in a variety of different wool weights from cobweb up to 3 ply or light fingering, however, the heavier the yarn is, the larger the finished article will be.

In this pattern the border and the main body pattern have the same number of rows, so you can alter the length of your stole by adding an extra repeat or by knitting fewer repeats. This is particularly handy if you decide to knit with a heavier yarn.
