Simple traveling slipped stitches create a fetching and form-fitting trellis effect. The plain stockinette background knits up quickly and is easier than purl stitches on the foot. This pattern is perfect for highly variegated sock yarns.

To adjust size, use larger/smaller needles and yarn or increase/decrease by ten stitches to maintain cage pattern.

Because these socks are knit toe up, you can make these as tall or as short as you need to - thus, yardage requirements are more of a guideline than a rule. It is recommended that one splits the yarn into two even cakes before beginning to ensure enough yardage for two equal socks. The sock in the pattern used 32 grams of yarn.
