I created the Dreaming of Collection of baby blankets, inspired by a Meteorologist’s Dream. Seven baby blankets: one baby blanket created for each individual weather pattern that was included in the original blanket.

This baby blanket was inspired by the lightning section of a Meteorologist’s Dream. It features flashes of lightning across a stormy sky. This is a blanket of power, courage and energy.

This blanket is 120stitches x 100 rows, it features a single pattern colour and six background colours. The final size using 4mm hook is approximately 76cm (30in) x 76cm (30in)

Difficulty – Intermediate

Techniques used:
• UK terms – BLDC – Back loop double crochet,
• US terms - BLSC – Back loop single crochet,
• Slip Stitches
