If you need to keep a cold head warm or work up a quick gift for someone, then this is the pattern for you! This is a simple, no frills sort of hat, which can easily be dressed up by using a higher-end or nicely variegated yarn, or a quick shell edging. To make a slouch hat, add more rows after the increases!

All the stitches you need to know are sc, dc, and sl st. Hat begins with a magic ring. Easy enough for a beginner!

Sizing note: My head is 22” in circumference, and this hat fits snugly, but not at all tight. Hat should fit the average adult head. The sc band at the bottom provides greater insulation for chilly ears.

Gauge note: Gauge is given in the pattern, but really all you’re doing here is working a flat circle until it hits 7” in diameter, and then you stop increasing. If you’re not hitting my gauge, just keep an eye on your diameter measurement.

Items made from my patterns are intended for personal use, sale, or world domination--as long as I get a parking space wherever I want once the world is yours.
