Else Shawl is a top down deep crescent shaped shawl, inspired by a vintage doily pattern by Herbert Niebling.
The motifs of the small square doily were modified and rearranged to form an elegant lacy shawl.
The pattern is charts only, no written instructions are provided.
Finished size with suggested yarn and needles and moderate blocking is 150cm/59inches
along neckline 52cm/20,5inches deep. The size is not adaptable.

Materials
Yarn: Fingering yarn 400m/100gr c.a. 160Gr.
Beads: beading is optional. As shown the shawl uses 421 beads (size 6/0 in the sample).
Needles/Gauge: 3.5 mm (US 4) or size to give you a fabric you like. Gauge is not
critical, but the shawl´s finished size and your yarn usage will vary according to your
chosen yarn, needle size and your tension.
Other notions:
• crochet hook or other gizmo to place beads
• crochet hook in the same size as your knitting needles for bind off
• tapestry needle to weave in ends
• stitch markers

Skill level is medium. The pattern has some unusual but easy stitches.
This pattern would not have been possible without my wonderful testers
