This accessory was inspired by the fairy stories I was told as a child growing up in Appalachia. There are many types of magical and mystical creatures that wander the woods and hollers in Southwest Virginia, and this is my tribute the Fair Folk; the ones my ancestors brought with them from Scotland many generations ago.

The Enchanted Fairy Hat is primarily worked with heavy worsted weight yarn held double. It works up relatively quickly and the personalization options are virtually endless.

Your purchase includes written instructions for average adult/teen size, as well as small adult/child size, construction notes, photographs, and troubleshooting from me, should you need it.

This pattern uses US crochet terminology throughout and is written in English. This project requires a fair amount of assembly and an assortment of stitches. As such, I would place it as an intermediate level pattern. A patient and determined advanced beginner may be just fine, though.
