With this knitting pattern you can make yourself a fabulous ribbed cowl scarf.

This scarf has beautiful eye-catching ribbing that is easy to knit.

Skill level
Easy: if you can knit and purl, you can do this. The buttonholes are the trickiest part, but not to worry. The pattern contains instructions to make perfect and strong buttonholes.

Yarn
I used about 220 g of Katia Maxi Merino. It is a nice fluffy and bulky yarn with wool. Although I am really fond of this type of yarn and the pretty wooden buttons, the pattern is easily adjustable for different yarn and different sized buttons. I recommend a wool (blend) yarn to keep you warm.

Set
If you like a set, you might want to check out the ribbed headband patterns with cross strap or twist. They match perfectly to this cowl scarf!

Free Gift Labels
If you are planning on making this scarf as a gift, Home of Yarns also has a gift for you! You get free printable gift labels and wraps to make your gift look even more awesome.

Languages
This pattern is available in 4 languages: UK English, USA English, German (Deutsch) and Dutch (Nederlands)!

Color blind friendly
I made an effort to make all of the Home of Yarns patterns color blind friendly, with dark text on a white background and if a chart is included, it is always in addition to written out instructions. For the charts, I use symbols in either black and white or other highly contrasting color combinations. I am quite positive that I did a good job, but I am no expert on color blindness.
