This cozy two-color shawlette is worked in sections that become increasingly smaller, making this a fun and fast knit.

FINISHED SIZE: 55” wide x 21” deep.

YARN: Fingering weight wool or wool blend.
Main Color: 365 yds, Contrasting Color: 300 yds.
Sample shown in Spirited Fibers Fingering Weight (80% wool, 20% nylon).
MC: Silver Dollar, CC: Malbec.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 5 (3.75mm) 32” (80cm) or longer circular needle. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge. Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced beginner. Techniques include long tail cast on, decreases, picking up stitches, m1 increases, simple slip stitch.

CONSTRUCTION: Center diamond, shaped with double decreases, is worked first. Stitches are picked up next for the outer triangles, which are shaped with single decreases, and then for the top and bottom garter stitch borders.
