Have you ever knit a color work sock, only to be disappointed when you can’t fit it over your foot? Not this time! This design starts out with a larger number of stitches to accommodate for the color work, and decreases down to hug your foot comfortably.

A ring of mushrooms dance around the ankle of this sock, forming a “fairy ring”. If you ever come upon a circle of mushrooms in the forest, you’ve found a fairy ring. Be sure to leave a gift of something sweet, and maybe they’ll bring you good luck.

You’ll need one skein of fingering weight yarn for your main color, and one contrasting mini for the color work, cuff, and toes- about 20g.

Merry making!
