5/20/2018 update: I re-knit this pattern and corrected all the math errors. The current PDF version includes these revisions, as well as a few clarified wordings and updated stitch counts after all sections.

Designed to match the flowing water theme of the painting “Fallen Moon Drops,” this cowl features staggered eyelets with a feather and fan border.

This pattern is what my friends and I call a “Showl” - a hybrid between a cowl and a shawl. It drapes nicely like a shawl without those crazy ends to worry about.

Designed with my handpainted yarn in the colorway “Fallen Moon Drops”, which was dyed to match an original oil painting of the same name.

Yarn:
MC- 1 skein of The Knitting Artist: Light, handpaint 100g/456 yards, shown in Fallen Moon Drops (note - colorway has changed a bit since this pattern was created, The first photo is the old version, the second is the new version).

Needles:
US size 6, 12 in (or DPNs) for beginning, 16-24 in for body. Or size needed for gauge.

One size.

Gauge is only critical if you want a specific fit.

Must be able to knit, purl, yarn over, increase and decrease and understand written or charted instructions.
