From the pattern:

In 2010, I released the original version of the Falling Blocks hat. It was a tour de force, combining two techniques that most people had never seen before. It remains a very popular pattern, but I saw a need for a simpler version. I reduced the complexity by removing the third color — but the iconic pattern remains.

On one layer, there is a classic tumbling blocks pattern; on the other, an Armenian cable motif chart. Both patterns are all-over designs.

Either size of this hat is 11.5” tall with the brim folded down or about 8.5” tall with the brim folded up.
