This relaxed beret uses bulky yarn and a beloved stitch pattern to produce a lovely lace cap. Feather and Fan is a favorite of knitters for both its beauty and its easy to memorize pattern. Size M uses 5 repeats of the pattern, while size L uses 6 repeats. The beret is shown here worn loose and slouchy after blocking the lace (but not the brim). If you choose to have a more head-hugging hat, then do not block when finished, and you’ll have a wonderfully textured warm lace cap.
