SKEINO’s – FEATHER SHAWL is an easy side to side knitted Summer Shawl.

Three different colored skeins are being used, to work 14 feather shaped sections. By increasing the project at the neck side and casting on stitches on the opposite side, the shawl fans into a half circle. Everything is done in Garter Stitch. Only the center-line in each “feather” is a lacy row.

The yarn is very soft and has a silky feel. The Tencel (Rayon) fibers are plant fibers and they are slightly taking the dye pigments. Therefore they appear muted and pastel and gives the color groups a soft and summery look.

The shawl has a wonderful drape and can be worn in a variety of ways. After finishing the shawl, wash it by hand in warm water, high spin it in a washer and put the shawl in a dryer for up to 10 minutes on medium heat. Spread the shawl onto a flat surface and stretch the form as you like. Pay special attention to the feather tips. They need to be perfectly brought into shape to unfold the beauty of your new gorgeous shawl !
