Booties form a set with Feel Good Baby Hat.

Baby booties have something about them that melts our hearts. Cute and irresistible.
As we have a new baby in the family, I ventured to design a pair especially for the little angel. The name - Feel Good Baby Booties - implies that both the baby and the mother will feel good with them. The baby because its feet will be comfortably warm with booties that stay on and the mother because she will see her baby smile.

The booties are designed to fit both girls and boys. The cuff is elegant while the ribbing behind the cuff ensures good fit for little legs. They are a very quick knit and would be a most appreciated gift for any baby.

Size: The pattern is written in four sizes: newborn, 3mths, 6mths and 9mths or to fit feet of about 7-8 (8-9/10/11)cm or 3 (3.5/4/4.5)in. Make sure to check how big the booties should be, babies’ feet can vary in size considerably
Size can also be adjusted by going up or down a needle size, or by changing the yarn weight and adjusting the needles accordingly.

Level: Adventurous beginner or intermediate. The booties are knit in the round. The pattern uses basic knit and purl stitches, as well as K3in1 and cluster stitch in the border (detailed description and photo tutorial included).

Needle size: US 1 ½ / 2,5mm DPNs or circulars if you prefer the magic loop method. A stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving ends.

Gauge: 7 sts and 10 rows in stockinette with US 1 ½ / 2,5mm needles = 2,5cm (1in). I knit rather loosely so you may need to go up a needle size (or two) to get the gauge. Remember that the size of the booties depends on the gauge and can be modified by changing it. If you want the booties larger, the gauge should be one or two stitches fewer per inch, and if you want the booties smaller, the gauge should be one or two stitches more per inch.

Yarn suggested: 25 - 50 grams of any fingering weight yarn that meets the gauge, it shouldn’t be a very stretchy type like merino or the booties may turn out bigger than desired. The sample is knitted with Sonata Anilux (70% cotton and 30% rayon).

The pattern has been tested and tech-edited by several English-speaking knitters.

Butki tworzą komplet z czapką Feel Good Baby Hat.

Można je wydziergać w jednym kolorze, można dodać drugi kolor w dowolnym miejscu i układzie.
