This pattern provides instructions to make a beautifully textured baby blanket, using a variety of different stitches. The finished item measures approximately 78 cm x 98 cm.

Originally an attempt to stash-bust some of my yarns, this blanket quickly evolved into a ‘green’ creation. I have been working on both the blanket and the design under a bit of pressure (amidst caring for my three children, and keeping calm during the global Coronavirus panic), in order to finish it and release the pattern on St Patrick’s Day - I have a bit of Irish ancestry, and have often dreamt of including ‘something Irish’ in one of my patterns.

The blanket works up quickly, and although the original design is in various shades of green, it would look beautiful in any colour/s (or even in a variegated yarn).

The pattern calls for yarn in dark green (approximately 1.5 x 100 g skeins), beige (approximately 1 x 100 g skein), bright green (approximately 0.5 x 100 g skein), cream (approximately 1 x 100 g skein), and light green (approximately 1 x 100 g skein).

The only additional material required is a darning needle, with which to weave in the ends.
