These fingerless mitts are inspired by firepits on a chilly night. The smoky logs, enchanting flames, and the swirling sparks in the sky all enveloping you in cozy warmth. This addicting knit fills the need for beautiful colorwork and the challenge of a little brioche. A weekend knit that gives you the ability to paint a picture with fiber and wear your artwork while celebrating the change of seasons with friends, family, and a pumpkin spice coffee… or two!

These mitts are worked in the round from wrist to fingers using a two-color brioche as ribbing at the wrist, base of fingers, and around the thumb. Transitioning to 2-tone colorwork the pattern repeats frequently making it easier to follow the charts. The thumb gusset is worked at the same time as the colorwork and stitches are held on a stitch holder and worked after the rest of the mitt is completed. There are 2 versions of colorwork charts depending on which color you choose to be darker, to make it easier to follow and customize the final look.
