The design is made with a simple lace pattern and twisted stitches to resemble the structure of a fishing net.

The scarf is light and warm and has a masculine appearance. The point in the middle gives warmth to the top of the chest, and the scarf is tied around the neck by putting the end through the hole and making a knot, adjusting to desired closeness around the neck.

It is knitted lengthwise with one strand of yarn. We start with a long tail cast on and increase along the bottom edge. At approx. 84 cm the hole is made by casting off in the middle of the row. On the next row new stitches are made with a crochet hook. Then decreases are made along the bottom edge before the last stitches are bound off.

The scarf has no right or wrong side and can therefore be worn with either side showing.

The yarn is Loch Lomond Bio from BC Yarn, 100 % organic wool with GOTS certification. The light woolen yarn comes in an array of beautiful colors with a tweed look. One hank has 50 grams and 150 m in it and you need between 3 and 4 hanks.
