During the 2014 Winter Olympics, I was inspired by the opening ceremonies featuring all the competing countries, and decided to create these socks and work on them during the games.

FLAG SOCKS: CANADA feature the Canadian flag, silhouette maple leaf and Canada text on the front. Since the flag and silhouette maple leaf section are the same number of rows, you can use them interchangeably! Knit the pattern as charted, or just the flag or the silhouette on the front of the socks. The foot and leg back feature a striped pattern. This color charted, toe-up pattern can be knit in sizes medium and large.

Medium size uses: One 50-gram ball of fingering weight yarn in Main Color, and one 50-gram ball in Contrast Color.

Large size uses: Two 50-gram balls of fingering weight yarn in Main Color, and one 50-gram ball in Contrast Color.
