Florence Cardigan
I love simple, modern yet timeless designs for little people. As soon as I found this vintage yellow yarn I knew it would make a gorgeous round necked cardigan in my favourite garter stitch. A cheerful colour for spring or summer as well as for brightening autumn and winter days. Playful mismatched buttons add a fun twist but matching buttons look lovely too.
There are instruction for knitting both a girl’s and a boy’s version included in the pattern. I used a sport weight yarn for the yellow cardigan but a fine DK that knits to the required tension works well too as in the boy’s teal cardigan.
The amount of yarn is calculated using a fine DK so you may need slightly less of sport weight yarn. It’s always better to have a little spare than not enough!
