Children’s Pinafore Knitting Pattern to fit from 3 to 6 years old
Pretty bobble flower pattern
Knitted using cotton DK wool (but can be substituted for any double knitting wool)
Pattern is written in English

Design:
The dress has bobble flowers to the front and back, a picot hemline and moss stitch edgings. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. Buttons are added to the front to fasten the dress to the straps.

Sizes:
The pattern gives instructions for 4 different sizes: 3, 4, 5 and 6 years old.

Yarn:
The pattern uses cotton double knitting wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply), but you can substitute for any DK wool.
Sundresses shown in the main picture show the size 3-year-old knitted using Rico Baby Cotton Soft DK in shade 048 (Mauve) and the 4-year-old size knitted using Rico Baby Cotton Soft DK in shade 047 (Smokey Rose). You will need 6 (8, 10, 12) 50g balls.

Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions.

Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles:
Sizes 4.0 mm (USA 6) straight needles are required.

Other requirements:
4 buttons
