Colorwork is fascinating. It is also deceptively simple. It looks complex, but it is easier than it looks. No purling, no YOs…just knit, round and round until you end up with a gorgeous shawl full of drape and color ( or a lap blanket!). Because the colors are floated often, the back looks as nice as the front. This shawl worked up quite fast because it is knitted on #10 circular needles. I used one skein each of Valley Yarns Charlemont --a gorgeous blend of Merino and Mulberry Silk--Natual, Deep Sea and Forest. Forest Cathedral took most of the Natural, and more than half of the two greens. You can choose your own color scheme. This would be a great starter project for those new to colorwork.
