Forest Sunrise is a top-down swirl shawl (or cape) that begins with enough stitches to fit around your neck. It is worked in an increasing rib pattern using simple short rows to curve the shawl as it grows. The shawl ends with a beautiful leaf lace edging. Finished size was 27” neck x 10-16” long unblocked. Blocking is needed to make the lace edging bloom. You’ll need 600 yards of worsted weight yarn and a long size 9 (5.5 mm) circular knitting needle. The five page pattern has written line-by-line instructions and a chart for the leaf lace. It can be knit with other weights of yarn by changing the needle size to suit the yarn.
