Fountain Hills, is a beautiful town surrounded by gorgeous Arizona scenery! The iconic symbol of this town is the worlds 4th tallest Fountain, that can be seen for miles away. This fountain sprays water 560 feet into the air for 15 minutes every hour during the day. Photos of the cascading water were the inspiration for the shaping of this shawl. A perfect size for moving from the warm Arizona heat into the cool air-conditioned buildings.

This pattern uses Dyelicious Salt River 630 fingering weight hand dyed yarn. We chose this yarn because the Verde River to the east of Fountain Hills is a tributary of the Salt River. The streaks of color remind us of the amazing colors we see in our every day life in Sunny Arizona.
